Poring over the work of the Roys these days- Huxley, Gjertson, Cross. Gjertson's broad brush textural backgrounds as well as watching the watercolor videos of Titus Meeuws made me want to get some wet looking texture, so gouache and Cottonwood Arts cold press served as the base for this illustration.
